According to a 2005 survey, 53% of farmworkers are undocumented (without legal authorization), 25% are United States citizens, and 21% are legal permanent residents.
Advocacy is a powerful tool to improve farmworker conditions
We facilitate our advocacy work through our coalition memberships in the Farmworker Advocacy Network and the Adelante Education Coalition. We work with diverse coalitions to engage workers, migrant students, and allies to call for administrative and legislative policy changes to build towards more dignity and justice for all students and all workers. We monitor and hold administrative agencies and policy makers accountable to their responsibilities. We support other organizations in their advocacy campaigns by signing letters and petitions, endorsing campaigns, and participating in public actions.
